On September 22, 2026, the Kostanay Regional Museum of History and Local Lore hosted museum readings titled "Pressing Issues in Regional History" (*Өлке тарихының өзекті мәселелері*), dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Kostanay region's establishment. Participants included faculty members from the Department of History of Kazakhstan at the U. Sultangazin Pedagogical Institute (part of the Akhmet Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University)—specifically Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor A. Kuzembayuly and Master of History G. B. Tastekova—as well as museum and library staff, schoolchildren, history teachers from the I. Altynsarin Specialized Boarding School-Gymnasium and the S. Maulenov Gymnasium, and history students. The readings provided a forum for discussing key topics related to the Kostanay region's 90-year history, the stages of the region's formation and development, the preservation and study of its historical and cultural heritage, and the role of the local history museum in researching and promoting the region's past; the event also facilitated an exchange of views among the participants.
