As part of the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Political Repression, a lecture entitled “Local History Dossier ‘Memory of the Bitter Years’” was held at Military Unit No. 6697 of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The lecture was prepared using materials from the collections of the Kostanay Regional Museum of History and Local Lore.
The lecture for the servicemen was delivered by museum employee V.F. Palaeva. During the meeting, archival documents, photographs, and historical materials were presented, highlighting the tragic pages of the country’s history, the fate of victims of political repression, and the importance of preserving historical memory.
Such events help the younger generation gain a deeper understanding of past events, maintain respect for the memory of victims of political repression, and strengthen a sense of civic responsibility.
The memory of the past is an important part of our history that must be carefully preserved and passed on to future generations.
